General

What can you do at Zap Thai?

Zap Thai is a small Thai neighbourhood restaurant in Haarlem. You can eat at our tables, order takeaway or have your food delivered. We also provide catering for groups if reserved in advance.

Ordering & delivery

Do you deliver via Thuisbezorgd or Uber Eats?

No. We deliver with our own drivers, so the food goes straight from our kitchen to your home.

What is the average delivery time?

Within Haarlem, delivery usually takes around 20 minutes. When ordering, you always see the expected delivery time, and we take that very seriously.

Do I get a message when the driver leaves?

Yes. When the driver leaves the restaurant, we send a WhatsApp message so you know your food is on the way.

Will the food still be hot?

Yes. We pack the food carefully in aluminium containers and foil and use good insulated delivery bags. Because we use our own drivers, it usually still arrives properly hot.

Can I pick up takeaway?

Yes, you can order online and pick up your food at our restaurant.

Menu & diet

Do you have vegetarian or vegan dishes?

Yes, we have several vegetarian dishes and also vegan options.

Do you have gluten-free dishes?

Yes, several dishes are naturally gluten-free. Please mention this when placing your order.

Can you take allergies into account?

Yes, but our kitchen is not completely allergen-free. Please always mention allergies clearly when ordering.

Are Thai dishes always spicy?

Not always. Many dishes are mild or only lightly spicy.

Can I choose the spice level?

For many dishes, you can choose mild, medium or spicy.

Do you use a lot of vegetables?

Yes, we are known for using plenty of vegetables. We literally live on the market and buy fresh herbs and vegetables every day.

How large are the portions?

Most dishes are suitable as a main course for one person. You can also order several dishes and share them together.

Can the food be reheated the next day?

Yes. Curries and soups in particular are often still very good when reheated the next day.

Visiting & parking

Can you eat in the restaurant?

Yes, we have several tables in the restaurant.

Do I need a reservation?

A reservation is not required, but it is recommended. That way we can prepare a table for you — often one of the nicest spots.

Are dogs allowed?

Well-behaved dogs are usually welcome, as long as they do not disturb other guests.

Do you have dishes suitable for children?

Yes, dishes such as Pad Thai or mild stir-fries are often popular with children.

Is parking available nearby?

Yes, there is paid street parking nearby.

Groups & catering

Can we come with a large group?

Yes, groups of up to about 20 people are possible. Please reserve in advance.

Do you offer catering?

Yes, we also provide catering for groups and events. We can provide warming sets so the food stays hot.

Payments

Which payment methods do you accept?

For takeaway, you can pay by card or cash. For delivery, payment is usually cash.
